©2011 Newcastle's Foote

Newcastle's Foote portray a typical foot fighting regimente of the period and as such, if you are looking for a battlefield role you have 3 main choices. Both pike and musket are combative but there is also a field going support role available, that of camp follower.

All 3 are open to both men and women. Indeed several of our ladies choose to fight in the musket block and others are camp followers.
We currently only have one woman in our pike block - are you up for joining her?

If you are still keen to get on the field without fighting and have just a little musical ability, how about trying the role of drummer.

If you have a little experience and a yearning for the stage, how about developng a character and working the crowdlines during the battle. You'll often see preachers, ranters, beggars and harlots talking to the crowds but there are many more roles you could choose from.

For the horse riders amongst you there's the cavalry. Whilst actually being separate units and not part of Newcastle's Foote, there's nothing to stop you joining us and riding with them occasionally. We have one member who does just that.
